The now infamous St Andrew’s School “Run” was and still is known as a legendary dread evoking, shin splinting, character building, house chanting rite of passage. The run made its debut at St Andrew’s School in 1973 and has earned itself the title of most memorable and agonising event of students past and present. Many may remember that the route was run through the middle of the campus, prior to the building of the IT centre and Library. The cheering crowds would gather on the bridge to support their house heroes.
Today the route encompasses several rounds of the playing fields and roundabout, but the contorted faces of pain and victorious house trophy lifting remain the same. “The Run” is alive and well and remains the hallowed event where St Andrew’s legends are made.
Now it is your chance to participate virtually. Whether as an Alum or current student, you were or will be a St Andrews legend yourself or a ‘slog through it’ warrior. You may be a parent, past or present who wants a taste of what the kids are complaining about? Maybe a faculty member who always wanted to try it. You may just love walking and running, have never been or will attend St Andrews but you want to show your support for a good cause.
Whatever your reasons it will be fun, it will be at your own pace and it will be for the most coveted prize currency – HOUSE POINTS!
Details of Our Run
Every participant must choose a house to represent. You may walk, run or bike ride, however you do it there will be points allocated to your chosen house.
1 mile school run = 10 house points
3k = 25 house points
5k = 50 house points
10k = 100 house points
You have from March 12th through March 20th to take on this challenge. No more results will be accepted after March 20. You will need to include a screenshot of your completed run distance via a recommended device or app. Please see the list below:

To register yourself or a family please complete our race registration form. Once completed you will receive an email confirmation with the link to submit your $20 per racer registration donation online with a credit/debit card. There will also be information on how to send a bank transfer if preferred. If you can not find the online payment submission link in your email following registration submission you can also complete payment via the payment button below with a credit/debit card.

This event is a “FUNdraiser” for St Andrew’s. Your $20 race fee will be allocated to our annual fund which provides financial assistance to the school for its progress and development.

Do you need a new House T-Shirt, you can order your shirt today online. We encourage you to purchase a house shirt, as we will be hosting future house events that you may want to participate in. T-Shirt orders will be delivery only in the Bahamas and there will be an extra shipping fee applied to send t-shirts internationally. If you wish to buy multiple sizes or different houses at once please email advancement@st-andrews.com and we will send you a direct invoice to make payment even easier online!
